Blue Knights announced the dates and locations for their 2014 audition camps which will include opportunities for prospective members in Colorado, Texas, California and Canada.
Blue Saints
Daniel Eadie will join Blue Saints’ brass staff in 2014. “The 50-plus years experience brought together in the brass instruction team this year is not only exciting but encouraging,” Eadie said. “As I have had the pleasure playing and marching next to some of my fellow staff members, I’m sure cooperation, coordination, consistency and cohesiveness will be the driving force for this team.”
Blue Stars
Blue Stars are still recruiting volunteers to work the corps’ brat stand fundraiser at Oktoberfest in La Crosse, Wis.
Bluecoats
Bluecoats have flags, props and other equipment used during the corps’ 2013 summer season for sale. View a complete list of inventory on the corps’ website.
Boston Crusaders
Preparing to get their 2014 season underway, the Boston Crusaders have made a number of administrative and design staff appointments including current board chair Jim Cronin as CEO of Inspire Arts & Music (the parent company of the Boston Crusaders). Other additions include Andy Waldukat as corps director, Michael Lentz and Matt James as artistic director and drill writer respectively, and Andy Smart as brass caption head.
The Cadets
The Cadets will field a new indoor percussion ensemble this winter. Competitive stops for the group will include the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. Auditions will take place Sunday, Oct. 13 in Bethlehem, Pa.
Carolina Crown
Celebrating the corps’ title win in 2013, Carolina Crown has new Championship merchandise available for purchase.
The Cavaliers
The Cavaliers posted information about their 2014 auditions for prospective members which will take place this year in Atlanta (brass only), Chicago and Austin.
Colts
Colts posted a new video showcasing some of the corps’ early-season warm-ups during the summer of 2013.
Crossmen
Crossmen recently announced a number of caption head appointments including Anthony Cruddas (brass), Brad Slusarczyk (visual) and Tim Greene (percussion).
Genesis
Genesis will host its fourth annual FENIXperience Camp for prospective corps members Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 in Elgin, Texas.
Madison Scouts
The Madison Scouts will celebrate their 75th anniversary in grand style this weekend with a number of events in the corps’ hometown. A silent auction fundraiser is taking place as part of the festivities. Among the items to bid on is an oil painting commissioned in honor of the corps’ anniversary. Even if you can’t make it to Madison this weekend, you can place a bid via e-mail or grab one of a limited number of reproductions.
Mandarins
Last weekend the Mandarins celebrated their 50th anniversary with an event in Sacramento, Calif. More than 360 current and former members, instructors and family members attended.
Music City
Music City says that it will soon announce details about a fundraising campaign intended to bring the corps back to the field in 2014.
Oregon Crusaders
Oregon Crusaders’ indoor drum line is gearing up for its winter season. Auditions will take place in October in Hillsboro, Ore.
Phantom Regiment
Jeremy Earnhart will join Phantom Regiment’s staff as music coordinator. Earnhart is the director of fine arts for Arlington Independent School District in Texas and previously served as the director of the LD Bell High School band for more than a decade. “I am humbled for the opportunity to be part of the heritage, tradition and emotion which is uniquely Phantom Regiment,” Earnhart said.
Pioneer
Prospective members of Pioneer can express their interest by filling out the corps’ information request form online and by joining the corps’ audition group on Facebook.
Raiders
Raiders created several Facebook groups for prospective members to get information about auditioning for the corps in 2014.
Spirit of Atlanta
Spirit of Atlanta will host auditions for its winter color guard ensemble Saturday, Sept. 28 at Elkins Pointe Middle School in Roswell, Ga.
Troopers
Troopers posted its schedule of 2014 audition camps which will take place throughout December in Indianapolis, Texas, Wyoming, Central Florida, and Las Vegas.
