Blue Stars Michael Shapiro will return to the Blue Stars in 2012 for his fifth season as the corps' color guard caption head, choreographer and designer. "Michael Shapiro has created some of the most thrilling moments ever performed by the Blue Stars, and I'm absolutely thrilled to see where he will take the guard and corps in 2012," Executive Director Brad Furlano said.

The Cadets The Cadets' design staff met last Sunday in Philadelphia to brainstorm ideas for the corps' 2012 production. At the end of the all-day meeting, the six designers in attendance agreed upon a working title of "Pearl Harbor" for the program that will start to take shape over the coming months.

Cascades The Cascades are recruiting volunteers to run its corps member recruiting booths at upcoming marching band competitions in the Pacific Northwest. Volunteers are needed for a number of events scheduled between Sept. 24 and Nov. 5.

Jersey Surf Jersey Surf will host its 2012 kickoff rehearsal camp Friday, Nov. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 20 in Sicklerville, N.J. Open to any interested students, a $49 registration fee will cover all meals, equipment, instruction and a T-shirt at the camp.
