The Academy The Academy is gearing up for its next rehearsal camp April 29 to May 1. Since January, a few color guard positions have opened up, and the corps is looking to fill those spots at this camp.
Blue Stars The Blue Stars are looking to fill two positions on its administrative team. These individuals will be "dedicated to making the summer tour run smoothly and safely for the members, staff and volunteers."
Bluecoats Bluecoats took the wraps off a new mobile app for the iPhone, that will keep fans engaged with the corps' schedule, latest news, photos, videos, social media and more.
Boston Crusaders Boston Crusaders will present an educational event on May 7 at Lakewood Ranch High School in Florida. The interactive session for brass, percussion and color guard students, will culminate with a special joint performance of the student group and corps members during the Crusaders' annual spring preview event. A $35 fee for the day covers tuition, food and a commemorative T-shirt.
The Cadets The Cadets are now selling tickets to four 2011 Drum Corps International Tour events including shows taking place at the College of New Jersey, West Chester University, Old Bridge and New Meadowlands Stadium.
Carolina Crown Carolina Crown's CrownGOLF 2011 will take place May 10-11 at Tega Cay Golf Club in South Carolina. The annual golf outing benefits Crown as well as the York County Cancer Association and includes a silent auction and cocktail reception.
The Cavaliers The Cavaliers wish all competing units well at the 2011 WGI Color Guard and Percussion World Championships in Dayton, Ohio over the next two weekends. The Cavaliers will have a booth in the expo area April 14-16, and the corps' Green Thunder Percussion will be competing in the Independent Open Class at the event.
Crossmen Alex Stelken is the newest addition to the Crossmen color guard staff. He is a former member of both the Colts and Cavaliers.
Glassmen Longtime Glassmen supporter Mike Pituch passed away on Sunday, April 3. Working behind-the-scenes with the corps for nearly 40 years, Pituch was a recipient of the 1989 DCI Volunteer of the Year award, as well as the Glassmen Booster of the Year and Experience of a Lifetime awards.
Jersey Surf Jersey Surf is calling all volunteers to join the corps this weekend for its annual Spring Cleaning event. People are needed to help iron and sort uniforms, clean and re-stock the corps' food trailer, and to prep and serve meals to corps members who will be rehearsing throughout the weekend.
Legends Legends is currently recruiting for its All-Star Band, an educationally focused ensemble comprised of eighth to 12th grade students who will perform at parades and other events throughout the summer. Those interested in becoming a member of the group should register by Friday, June 10.
Pacific Crest Tickets are now on sale for Corps at the Crest San Diego, a DCI Tour event that will take place Friday, July 1 at the newly renovated Herb Meyer Stadium in Oceanside, Calif.

Santa Clara Vanguard Santa Clara Vanguard will be hosting a 30th anniversary reunion for its 1981 World Championship corps. The event will take place on Saturday, June 25 in Palo Alto, Calif., in conjunction with the DCI West competition at Stanford University.

Spirit Spirit members will be rehearsing this weekend, April 8-10, at Ola High School in McDonough, Ga. The corps is still seeking members for its brass and percussion sections, and the $95 registration fee for new members has been waived.

Troopers The Casper Tribune reports that ownership of the Troopers' headquarters building in Casper, Wyo. was recently turned over to the corps by the McMurry Foundation, who funded its construction in 2005. The corps had previously been leasing the $2.2 million asset which houses offices, a bingo hall, storage and a garage for the corps' fleet of vehicles.
