The Academy



Members of the Academy will make their official 2008 performance debut in Tempe, Ariz. at an annual Memorial Day concert on Monday, May 26. A barbeque and performance of the corps' 2008 program will highlight the evening event.

The Cadets

"An Evening with the Cadets" scheduled for Sunday, May 25 in Springfield, Pa. will serve as the corps' kickoff to the 2008 summer season. Performances by percussion and dance ensembles and an alumni-based big band will lead up to a grand finale by the full Cadets drum corps ensemble.

The Cavaliers



By the end of the Cavaliers' recent rehearsal camp at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in Dekalb, corps members had played through the group's entire 2008 production, "Samurai." Corps members will be back at NIU when they "move in" on May 23 to start their pre-season rehearsals before the 2008 DCI Summer Tour.

Madison Scouts



The Madison Scouts recently announced the title of their 2008 program, "La Noche de la Iguana." As released on the corps' Web site, the program will draw on Latin-American compositions and "explore the cultural evolution of the Mayan society."

Memphis Sound



Memphis Sound will perform a program titled "Blackout" during the 2008 summer season. According to a release on the corps' Web site, the show "will explore the varying states of

[human] consciousness and their instabilities" while featuring musical selections from Andrew Lloyd Weber, Bella Bartok, and Eric Whitacre.

Mandarins



Third-year member Santiago Sabado and first-year member David Mori will lead the Mandarins onto the field in 2008 as the corps' recently appointed drum majors.
