Bluecoats The Bluecoats are now accepting applications for "The Blue Way 2012" interactive educational experience for brass, percussion, color guard and drum majors. The Cadets Youth Education in the Arts, the parent organization of the Cadets, will donate half of the proceeds from its annual Food and Wine Fest to the Cadets Scholarship Fund in memory of corps alum and administrator Susan Erben. The event will take place Sunday, May 20, in East Rutherford, N.J.

Cascades If you've got a knack for sewing, hemming, construction, or just want to lend a helping hand, the Cascades are recruiting volunteers to assist with a number of projects during the corps' spring rehearsal camps.
The Cavaliers Music software company SmartMusic announced a new partnership with the Cavaliers and the corps' percussion designer Michael McIntosh. As part of the collaboration, McIntosh will make his percussion arrangements for the 2012 Cavaliers available to the public for download through SmartMusic. "Our goal was to share the music in a way that's fun and educational," McIntosh said. "We want fans to come along for the ride this summer, and see what it's like to be a Cavalier!"
Colts 2004-2006 Colts alum Chase Higgins is taking on the adventure of a lifetime, this summer working with a group of individuals to "raise awareness for the importance of positive mentoring relationships in children's lives." The organization, called Biking for Baseball, will host youth-focused sporting events in cities across the country, spreading its message while biking 11,000 miles across the country and attending events in every Major League Baseball Stadium in the U.S.
Glassmen The Glassmen are mourning the loss of longtime corps volunteer and supporter Joan Anne Zielinski. Services for Zielinski, who served two five-year terms as president of the Glassmen board of directors and countless days traveling with the corps during its summer tours, were held on Wednesday, March 28, in Toledo, Ohio.
