Carolina Crown, The Cavaliers, Colts and Phantom Regiment have all been gunning for $1 million dollars this past week as part of the Chase Community Giving campaign on Facebook. The Academy



The Academy is working to raise funds as part of Birdies for Charity in correlation with the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Last year through the same program, the organization raised more than $20,000.

Blue Knights



The Blue Knights completed their auditions during a rehearsal camp last weekend in Englewood, Colo. "We have never auditioned as many students for the corps as we did this year," said executive director Mark Arnold. "We have auditioned over 350 students and are really excited about the level of talent we have in the corps this year. Boston Crusaders



The Crusaders were back in action last weekend in Bradenton, Fla., for their January rehearsal camp. After being forced indoors on Saturday due to rain, corps members made it back outside on Sunday afternoon playing through three minutes of their 2010 production as a full ensemble.

The Cadets



Cadets alum DeAnna Queen-Imbro has pinpointed a new fundraiser for the organization, assembling collectible pillows handmade with authentic Cadets uniform parts from the 2000s. Check out a behind-the-scenes series of Cadets Pillow Project photos on the corps' Web site.

Carolina Crown



Crown completed its third rehearsal camp of the 2010 season last weekend in Ft. Mill, S.C. With color guard members absent during the indoor winter season, the brass and percussion sections worked ahead on basic techniques as well as music for the group's 2010 production.

Cascades



First-year member Patrick Beare will take the reigns as the 2010 Cascades drum major assisted by Bennie Hodder, a second year member from the corps' euphonium section.

The Colts recently announced that their 2010 competitive production will be titled "True Colors," featuring musical selections by Michael Torke, Jeff Beal, Billy Steinberg/Tom Kelly and Paul Halley.

Phantom Regiment



Phantom Regiment Executive Director Rick Valenzuela received a proclamation from the corps' hometown city of Rockford, Ill. on Jan. 19, declaring this "Vote for Phantom Regiment Week" in support of the organization's quest for $1 million through the Chase Community Giving campaign. Santa Clara Vanguard



Vanguard will be sponsoring two winter color guard contests over the next few weeks. The first will take place on Jan. 30 in San Jose, Calif., and the second on Feb. 13 in Fresno. The Fresno event is a Winter Guard International regional competition.
