The Blue Stars' 2010 competitive production will be titled "Houdini," taking fans on a "journey through the sights and sounds, the mystery and danger" of the famed magician.
This week the Cadets revealed a new logo design that was selected from more than 40 submissions to a design contest held by the organization this fall. The new logo was created by corps alum Kenny Isidoro. "The logo simply called for an answer to the question: What is the image of the Cadets? To me, the Cadets already have an image, and that image is undeniably the uniform," he said.
The Cascades revealed the musical pieces that will be incorporated into the corps' 2010 competitive program "Silver Lining." Composers include Jack Stamp, V?ˇclav Nelh?˝bel and Charles Strouse, among others.
The Cavaliers published an in-depth interview with new brass caption head Scott Atchison, and percussion caption supervisor Mike McIntosh. "As a percussion staff, we're very respectful and reverent of the brotherhood and traditions of the Cavaliers. A tradition of excellence is very important to us," McIntosh said in the interview. "The staff believes in a professional, educationally sound environment. We teach our players not just to drum, but to teach as well."
The Colts appointed Randy Nelson as the corps' visual designer for 2010. "We are thrilled to have Randy engaged with us, and are looking forward to having the opportunity to benefit from his extensive experience and track record of success," said Greg Orwoll, executive director. "An extra exciting facet of his experience is his track record of success in both visual design and color guard, and we will see the effects of his depth of experience in both areas."
The Crossmen's 2010 visual staff will be led by Aaron Bailey. "We are looking forward to having Aaron and the team he has assembled with the Crossmen for 2010. The staff brings a wealth of experience to the corps and we are excited for this year," said director Mark Chambers.

The Oregon Crusaders released a complete list of corps instructional and administrative staff for the 2010 season.
The Phantom Regiment front ensemble will be in action this Saturday, presenting an educational clinic at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis. The session titled, "Addressing the Expanding Demands of the Present Day Front Ensemble," will take place at 1 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center.
Pioneer is launching a winter drum line this year called the Pioneer Pulse. The group will compete as part of the Minnesota Percussion Association circuit.
