Teal Sound announced a new partnership with Jupiter Band Instruments to perform on the company’s new Quantum series of brass and percussion. According to a press release from the organization, the Quantum project is a collaborative effort between Jupiter, Mapex and Majestic brands to develop a complete line of high-performance marching brass, drums and field percussion.

The Citations announced the title of their 2008 program, “The Razor’s Edge.” According to a press release from the corps, the program’s music will come from the theatrical and film versions of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” and from the contemporary rock group Evanesence.

The Velvet Knights announced the return of Blair Lezcano as the corps’ drum major for the 2008 season. Lezcano, who is a high school student in Anaheim Hills, Calif., was honored as the corps’ “Knight of the Year” in 2007.

The Crossmen announced the tile of their 2008 program “Planet X.” A post on the corps’ Web site says that “Planet X” will be “a place where the magic, mysticism and beauty of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets,” meets the groove, style and passion of the Crossmen’s past explorations of Planet Earth.”

The Boston Crusaders announced Justine Williams and Alex Lopilato as drum majors for the 2008 season. Williams is a psychology major at the University of Colorado. Lopilato studies pharmacology at the University of South Florida.
