The Academy

The Academy’s 2013 production, “Pianoman,” will take audience members on “a journey of 20th century music, from Weill and Dietrich to Shostakovich.” Check out a list of musical selections on the corps’ website.

Bluecoats

Bluecoats

Registration is now open for the Bluecoats’ “Blue Way” educational summer camp for brass, snare and tenor drummers, color guard and drum majors. The camp will take place June 1-2 at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Save $50 by registering before May 30.

The Cadets

The Cadets

The Cadets are looking for an individual skilled in sewing and wardrobe maintenance to travel with the corps during its 2013 summer tour. Compensation is available.

Cascades

Cascades

Cascades still has positions open in its brass, color guard, cymbal and front ensemble percussion sections. The corps next rehearses April 19-21 in Bellevue, Wash.

The Cavaliers

The Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are seeking Chicago-area students to intern with the corps during its 2013 summer tour. Positions in marketing communications, merchandising, media and video production are available.

City Sound

City Sound recently performed at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at a star-studded charity event for the Alliance for Children’s Rights.

Colt Cadets

Colt Cadets

Colt Cadets announced the title of their 2013 production, “Red.” The program will “explore the rainbow of emotions conveyed by one deceptively complex color,” with musical selections from Bizet, Copland and David Grusin, among others.

The Crossmen recently highlighted their roster of percussion instructional staff members who will be led this year by caption head Tim Greene. “Tim has done a great job bringing together some of the staff from 2012 and introducing some new blood to the Crossmen,” Director Fred Morrison said.

Madison Scouts

Madison Scouts

Madison Scouts alums will be hosting the 13th annual “Rockin’ for a Cure” on Saturday, April 20, in Madison, Wis. The musical charity event founded in 2000 by the late Scouts alum Steve Weekes, raises funds for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association Wisconsin Chapter.

Mandarins

Mandarins

The Mandarins’ 2013 production, “Destination America: Journey of the Paper Sons,” will follow the story of Chinese immigrants who came to America after the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. “The Mandarins were originally founded for the Sacramento Chinese-American community, so we are excited for the opportunity to share the history of our Chinese heritage with our audience,” Program Facilitator Dan Fong said.

Check out a video slideshow of photos from Music City’s March rehearsal camp and listen to the corps playing “El Cumbanchero” in a new video posted on YouTube. Music City will host auditions for its color guard section April 26-28 in Franklin, Tenn.

Pacific Crest

Pacific Crest

Pacific Crest will host its “Puttin’ for PC” fundraiser on Sunday, April 14 in Fullerton, Calif. No golf experience is necessary to take part in this family-friendly event. The $20 cost includes a putting lesson, 18 holes of golf, food and more.
