Blue Stars named the individuals who will form the corps’ 2016 design staff. "Each is an acknowledged leader and innovator in the marching arts, and each has a rich history of success with the Blue Stars,” executive director Brad Furlano said.

Jeff Pearson has been named corps director of the Boston Crusaders. “(Jeff) has an extensive drum corps background—a background rich in history and innovation,” executive director Chris Holland said.

Cadets 2 achieved a second place finish at the Drum Corps Associates World Championship Finals last Sunday in Rochester, New York.

Former Boston Crusaders director Howard Weinstein will join the Colts as program coordinator for the corps’ 2016 season. “We just became a better organization today and a better drum corps with Howard on our staff," director Vicki MacFarlane said.

Madison Scouts

Van Mathews and Bill Zeier will return to the staff of the Madison Scouts in 2016. “Van and Bill were mainstays to the Scouts instructional team throughout the nineties,” executive director Chris Komnick said. “Van helped established the signature sound of the Scouts brass line while Bill was instrumental in establishing the visual technique that identified the Scouts look.”
