Heading into its second year of operation, Mass Bay Music Festivals, a program of the Boston Crusaders, is beginning to gear up for its 2011 season. A series of spring music festivals in the metro Boston area, Mass Bay gives scholastic ensembles access to qualified adjudicators, educational clinics, and master classes as part of the program.

Racine Scouts patriarch Howard Dahnert, a 2007 inductee to the DCI Hall of Fame, passed away this week at the age of 92. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 30 and funeral services on Monday, Jan. 31 in Racine, Wis.
