Blue Stars Tom Aungst and Neil Larrivee will return in 2012 to lead the Blue Stars percussion section. "Tom and Neil have done amazing things with our percussion program the past two seasons," said Executive Director Brad Furlano. "They have developed a style of drumming at the Blue Stars that is exciting for both the performers and audience alike, and I can't wait to see the continuation of their program in 2012."

Glassmen The Glassmen are the recipient of a Lowe's Heroes Grant. The grant which supports local community organizations with supplies and manpower will allow the corps to make much needed renovations to its GWest and GEast rehearsal facilities.

Madison Scouts In recognition of their 2011 production "New York Morning," which paid tribute to the events of Sept. 11, 2001, the Madison Scouts have been presented with an artifact from the World Trade Center. The gift comes from New Jersey engineering firm Job and Job, taken from a piece of steel beam that is being used in the construction of a 9/11 memorial.

Phantom Regiment Phantom Regiment has hired Don Hill as its brass arranger for 2012. Hill most recently spent four years as arranger of the Glassmen. "I'm well aware of the rich tradition involved in arranging for the Regiment," he said. "It's a real honor to be chosen as only the fourth arranger for Phantom Regiment in the past 40 years.

Spartans Brass arranger Jeff Bolduc will join the Spartans' staff in 2011. Bolduc was a former Spartans staff member in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Teal Sound Randy Blackburn has resigned his position as executive director of Teal Sound. "Thank you to all who have been a part of this great organization and have helped to return the state of Florida to the World Class level of Drum Corps International. Thank you to everyone who has had the faith and believed in what we have done over the past six years," Blackburn wrote in a letter posted on the corps' website.
