The Academy will host its eighth annual
Summer Marching Academy, an educational marching music and leadership camp, this June in Mesa, Ariz. High school students can save $25 by registering before May 15.

Blue Knights
With more instruments, uniforms and equipment to store since limits on corps membership were raised several years ago from 128 to 150, the Blue Knights are launching a fundraising campaign to replace their aging equipment trailer.

Carolina Crown
Carolina Crown's CrownGUARD will be competing this weekend in Dayton, Ohio at the 2010 Winter Guard International World Championships. The group is a four-time WGI Independent World Class finalist.

Cascades
The Cascades worked outside during their recent April rehearsal camp to learn the visual drill to the second movement of their 2010 production, "Silver Lining." Volunteers were on hand throughout the weekend to begin fitting corps members for uniforms.

The Cavaliers
The Classic Cavaliers will perform as part of the Heartland International Tattoo on Saturday, April 10 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. This will be the group's third appearance at the Tattoo which features more than 400 musicians, singers and entertainers including both military and civilian brass bands, drum corps, wind bands, bagpipe bands, drill teams, flag corps and an array of dancers.

Dutch Boy
Undergoing a "vast change" in organizational structure, Dutch Boy has decided to not participate in the 2010 Drum Corps International Tour. "Both the staff and management are excited to continue developing a strong local program and a drum corps which will offer the membership a variety of local and regional performance opportunities over the next several months," said Dutch Boy President Brenda Clark in a letter posted on the corps' Web site.

Santa Clara Vanguard
The Santa Clara Vanguard Winter Guard is in Dayton, Ohio this weekend competing at the 2010 Winter Guard International World Championships. The defending 2009 champion group is currently sitting at the top the leader board after scoring 96.8 in the quarterfinal round of competition.
