Radio receivers are about the size of a credit card.
Drum corps fans attending the 2010 DCI World Championships this weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will have new opportunities to enjoy Marching Music's Major League like never before, gaining an inside perspective to all of the action on and off the field. Zildjian's Field Pass Live presented by the Woodwind and Brasswind, will provide commentary and other audio content over a private radio network broadcast throughout Lucas Oil Stadium. Using a personal radio receiver capable of handling several channels of event related information and content, fans in the stands will be able to tune into a variety of programming during the World Class Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals. This technology is brought to the drum corps arena after widespread use at events including air shows, NASCAR, golf tournaments and other sporting events.
For $15, drum corps fans attending the World Championships will have the opportunity to rent the Field Pass Live radio receiver and headset for three nights to listen in during and in between the performing corps. Rental of the radio units will be in the Lucas Oil Plaza at the North Concourse of the stadium near the Horseshoe Stage.
