Drum Corps International recently received a number of awards during the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) Convention, Expo, and Retreat presented by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance in Tucson, Arizona.

The IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Competition recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and top quality creative, promotional, operational, and community outreach programs and materials produced by festivals and events around the world.

Drum Corps International received a total of 11 awards at the ceremony held on September 14, in a diverse range of categories from video production to merchandise. Four of those awards came with the top Gold designation, which included wins in the categories of Best TV Promotion (Ad Spot or PSA), Best Event Video Promotion, Best Digital/Social Ad Series, and Best Miscellaneous Multimedia.

Also faring well in the annual competition was DCI's fellow Indianapolis nonprofit, Music for All, which itself earned 21 awards including Gold designations for Best Event Website, Best Organizational E-Newsletter, Best Event E-Newsletter, Best Promotional Brochure, Best Event Promotional Photograph, and Best Educational Program.

“These awards are a testament to the professional talent working on behalf of both organizations to further music education and the performing arts for audiences across the country,” DCI Executive Director and CEO Dan Acheson said.
