DCI Father's Day Kickoff After a spectacular inaugural event in 2005, drum corps returns to the Sports Complex at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., for the DCI Father's Day Kickoff on Sunday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Located less than 30 miles from downtown Chicago, the Sports Complex at Benedictine University is easily accessible from anywhere in the Chicagoland area as well as Eastern Iowa and Southern Wisconsin. Priced at $18 and $25, this is a great way to wrap up Dad's special day and give him a night on the town. For really large families, schools, fraternal organizations and other groups of 25 or more, group tickets may also be purchase at that time for $15. "The campers are great!" said DCI executive director Dan Acheson. "Their enthusiasm and appreciation for the corps makes this one of the more dynamic events of the summer's tour." Centrally located between Chicago, St. Louis, the Quad Cities and Indianapolis, DCI Central Illinois' Friday night start time makes it a great way to kick off an early summer weekend getaway.
