Today in DCI Insight, Michael Boo walks us through Santa Clara Vanguard's 1991 "Miss Saigon" production. "Santa Clara Vanguard's 1991 show is one of those productions that, if one saw it live, sticks in the memory cells as if it was on the field within the past year. Based on the megahit musical "Miss Saigon" by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, the production was the next-to-last effort put on the field by corps founder and long-time director Gail Royer, who (prior to the creative development phase of the show) went to Europe to see the musical months before it was due to hit Broadway."
