DCI is seeking a high-energy, customer-oriented person with experience and a bachelor's degree (or related education) in travel and meeting planning to fill an immediate opening in its Addison, Ill., office.
Travel and meeting coordinator
The primary in-house contact for all travel and meeting planning for an event promotions and governance association.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate annual meetings and social events ranging from 10 to 600 attendees.
Serve as primary on-site contact for hotel and venue staffs to ensure all logistical aspects of meetings and events are solidified.
Work closely with travel agent to manage all travel logistics for event staff and adjudicators for over 140 events.
Serve as transportation coordinator between adjudicators and tour event chairpersons. Monitor day-to-day tour needs and facilitate solutions when traveling challenges occur.
Organize all ground transportation and hotel needs for all major event staff and adjudicators.
Monitor travel budget and report travel, hotel and special event expenses of the corporation.
Serve as office contact for Hall of Fame members, and with Hall of Fame Chairperson, coordinate Hall of Fame induction program.
Oversee the needs of all hospitality and special requests for VIPs and corporate partners year around and on site at major events.
Work in collaboration with event staff to insure smooth coordination and implementation of travel and hospitality plans.
Provide customer service for fan base in regard to major event hotels.
