Drum Corps International will partner with the Drums Across Kansas event committee to produce and ticket a 2018 DCI Tour event in El Dorado, Kansas this July.
Drums Across Kansas presented by the El Dorado Convention and Visitors Bureau, will take place on Monday, July 16, on the campus of Butler Community College in south-central Kansas. The intimate 6,000-seat BG Products Veterans Sports Complex will play host to a lineup of nine World Class corps.
“A longstanding event on the DCI Tour schedule, we are excited to work with the Drums Across Kansas local organizing committee to make this Midwestern showcase a hallmark of our 2018 summer season,” said Susan Kuehnhold, DCI senior director of event development.

Performing drum corps will include The Academy, Blue Knights, Cadets, Genesis, Madison Scouts, Santa Clara Vanguard, Seattle Cascades, Spirit of Atlanta and Troopers. The stop in El Dorado will be an important waypoint as corps make their way south for the start of Drum Corps International’s “Texas Tour” later that week.
