This summer, there’s a gaping hole in all of our lives as we navigate the first summer in nearly 50 years without drum corps. The next eight weeks were supposed to feature the best and brightest in marching music to audiences all across the country.

But on March 26, the 2020 Drum Corps International Summer Tour was canceled due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic

Drum corps is on hold, sure. But for now, the drum corps experience lives on in the memories. So for the next 50 or so days, that’s what we’ll celebrate.

From 1972 to 2019, the DCI community has evolved, made lasting memories. It’s created unforgettable works of vivid art, beautiful music and impeccable performances.

We know you miss drum corps; we do, too. We know you miss the thrill of performing, the memories made and people met on tour, and the rush of being overcome by incredible feats of sight and sound.

Our hope is that — this summer, through the lens of photos, videos, stories and memories — together, we’ll regain some of the wonder we find every year, right at the 50-yard line.

In the coming weeks, we’ll take you back in time, to a different show, in a different year, through different iterations of the moments we all couldn’t wait to experience this summer. This is the #DCIRewind.

You can follow along on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as we relive many of the moments that have shaped the drum corps community we know and love today.

2021 will be here before you know it.
