This is a photo of my brother Bill, his son Ben and me after DCI World Championship Finals this past summer. Bill marched as a trumpet player with the 27th Lancers and the Spirit of Atlanta back in the early '80s. I just "aged-out" as a member of Spirit from Jacksonville State University in 2007, and my nephew Ben finished his rookie year as a trumpet player with the Cadets. You could say the Pouncey's definitely have drum corps and music in the blood line.
