Laura C. Thrilled, honored, amazed, excited to see the USMC "Commandant's Own" Band make an historic appearance at Carlsbad High School's Lancer Field today. Included USMC Drum and Bugle Corps, Silent Drill Team and Battle Color guard. They pick one high school in one state per month to perform for free. THANK YOU! Truly inspirational. Semper Fi!!!!

Chere B. i was volunteering yesterday morning at the Desert Museum, and a guy comes through the line wearing a Madison Scouts t-shirt!! I said - 'hey! i used to march in a drum corps!' - Unfortunately he didn't seem overly friendly, but managed to mutter that he marched when he was younger - oh well, i'd have thought he'd be chattier meeting someone with a similar past......that's what I get for thinking, huh?
Christine S. Just 2 more days of work and off to Boston with the Ventures Winter guard. So looking forward to it since the last time I was there was back when I marched with the Ventures Drum & Bugle corps back in 1982. Funny how life repeats itself.
