Drum Corps International welcomes Drum Corps World as a new World Championships partner for the 2008 season.

Publishing since the 1970s as a tabloid newspaper, Drum Corps World (DCW) has provided more than 35 years of continuous coverage of the drum and bugle corps activity. Including a wide variety of information and feature articles about the corps and events of Drum Corps International, the publication's world-wide team of writers and photographers also cover other marching arts activities in North America, Europe, Asia and even Africa.

"Even in an age of instant information through the Internet, many serious followers of the drum corps activity count on DCW to keep them informed," said Drum Corps International Executive Director Dan Acheson. "Now entering its 37th year, the publication brings a unique collection of perspectives and stories about the drum corps activity that many fans and corps members may enjoy."

Drum Corps World is published 18 times per year – weekly during the summer drum corps season and monthly throughout the rest of the year – by Steve Vickers who is a Drum Corps International Hall of Fame inductee.

As part of the World Championships partnership, Drum Corps World will have a presence in and around the 2008 DCI World Championships which will take place from Aug. 5-9 in Indianapolis, Ind.
