Drum majors put competition aside at annual leadership summit

by Drum Corps International

Fifty-eight drum majors representing Drum Corps International’s World and Open Class corps were in attendance at the 2018 DCI Annual Meeting January 5-6 in Indianapolis.

Organized by DCI Hall of Fame member Gene Monterastelli, DCI’s annual drum major leadership summit gives the newest crop of drum corps student leaders the opportunity to work together to hone their leadership skills outside the bounds of the competitive summer season.

“It’s a great time to really get to connect and meet [other drum majors from] all the different corps and groups from across the country,” Genesis drum major Cameron Wilson said.
