Earasers Musicians Earplugs is the latest company to join Drum Corps International’s growing list of event sponsors, presenting the DCI World Championship Prelims on Thursday, August 11, in Indianapolis.

Owned by Casselberry, Florida-based Persona Medical—the oldest hearing aid manufacturer in the U.S.—Earasers are the world's first flat frequency response earplugs that filter out loud noise while still allowing wearers to hear at safe, comfortable levels.

Designed with musicians in mind, Earasers were developed by a lead engineer who is a musician and former drum corps member.

"Earasers is honored to be a presenting sponsor for the DCI World Championship Prelims,” said Don Campbell, President of Earasers.  “I marched as a member of Suncoast Sound with some incredible musicians, and I am still a great drum corps supporter and fan.”

Developed in 2012, Campbell discovered the concept for Earasers Musicians Earplugs after looking to improve the comfort of the company’s instant fit hearing aids. Since then, Earasers has come out with an entire line of products including earplugs specifically developed for marching musicians through a special licensing agreement with the Blue Devils’ System Blue catalog of products.

The company also specializes in custom in-the-ear monitors for musicians and music lovers, as well as swimming plugs, industrial hearing protection, and “Big-Shots!” hearing protection for shooting.

“As more and more musicians recognize the critical need for hearing protection, we’re very pleased to see a company like Earasers get involved with Drum Corps International as a presenting sponsor,” said John DeNovi, DCI’s Senior Director of Business Development.

The DCI World Championship Prelims presented by Earasers Musicians Earplugs will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday, August 11. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketmaster.
