This is from a set of old photos that my kids found. It's from 1975 when I left Toronto after five years with the De La Salle Oaklands Drum Corps (1969-74) and went to march as a baritone player with the Blue Devils taught by legendary brass instructors Wayne Downey and the late Jim Ott.
This photo is of Brian Brown, me and Jim Bagley. The three of us had all marched as members of different corps in 1974, ending up with the Blue Devils the next year.
After my time with the Blue Devils, I taught brass at the Seneca Optimists (1976-77) and have been a high school teacher in Canada for the last 32 years!
