I marched as a member of the Spirit of Atlanta soprano section from 1977 to 1979. My wife, Carla, has run Spirit's "home shows" the past few years, and our son, Will, will be in his fourth year with Spirit this summer.
I've probably shot some 30,000 or more photos of drum corps since aging out, and this is one of my favorites. It is of two 1986 Spirit guard members, the late Skip Kelly and Debbie Chambless Gilbert.
