Rain retreat
Chaz Holden writes: "This picture was taken a day or two after San Antonio regionals in 2002. While the Troopers were in Houston, the rain hit hard unexpectedly during our lunch break. It lasted for 20 minutes, but that would've been enough to damage our equipment. Everyone ran outside to grab horns, flags and percussion equipment that had been waiting for sectionals to start. I was able to take a quick shot for memories. In the picture, Carl and Makana are carrying in the snares and Mat is babying his contra bass. Ensemble rehearsal in Texas was perfect weather, but once the sun set, the human-eating mosquitoes took opportunity of our all-you-can-eat buffet." Thanks Chaz! We've run into a few technical problems recently, so if you haven't seen your Forzato Picture of the day yet, send it to us again and we'll run it as soon as we can. E-mail it to dave@dci.org along with where and when the photo was taken, and send some biographical information about yourself as well. We'll give you full credit. Also, let us know if you want your e-mail address included, to get feedback from other drum corps fans.
