Litt's last stand
Jason Litt says: "This photograph was taken at the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Crow Agency, Mont., on June 26, 2002. "This is my friend Kevin Miller (on the left, my seat partner) and I standing in front of the battlefield. The corps was rehearsing in Gillete, Wyo., for the first part of the day, then our free night and dinner were to be held at the battlefield, just about a two-hour drive away. The scenery was beautiful. We all walked around and saw the cemeteries, the fields, learned quite a big of history about the battle, and most of us had a gander at the infamous "Custer's Last Stand." This was quite a treat for us, as we were on our fourth day of our two-week tour to the West Coast. This was just one of the great sites we visited this year. I've marched the Madison Scouts as a member of the mellophone section in 2001 and 2002. This year I aged out, and I am now continuing my music education degree at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Fla." Thanks Jason!Would you like to submit a picture for Forzato? E-mail it to dave@dci.org along with where and when the photo was taken, and send some biographical information about yourself as well. We'll give you full credit. Also, let us know if you want your e-mail address included, to get feedback from other drum corps fans. Editor's note: We have received a lot of Forzato submissions -- and we are running them in the order they are received -- so if we haven't run your submission yet, we will eventually. Keep them coming!
