The Flugel sunrise
James Hill writes: "Last year at the Crossmen, the staff decided they needed another voice to fill out the brass section. Little did they know the impact the we would have on the line. By the end of the season, the flugel line was playing at least 90 percent of the show. So as a section, we decided we needed to do something that would make us stand out from the rest of the line. "But we had no idea what to do. We knew it had to be something we did on a daily basis. We figured it might as well be the way we lined up our horns. The "Starburst" was born. We ended up doing it at every show and at every practice. So in keeping with that tradition, I started the starburst back up at this past camp. This is for the section last year: Dicky V, Sean-Patrick, Kate, El Bone, myself and Bruce." Thanks James!
