This is a photo of me and two friends who travelled from Manchester, UK to watch the 2008 DCI World Championships. This was my third year attending the events, and this year I decided to take along two friends for the experience.
We arrived in Bloomington, Ind. on the Tuesday of the week of the World Championships after travelling for 24 hours. After our plane to Chicago was cancelled due to thunderstorms, the first thing we did after checking into our hotel was travel the short distance to Indiana University's Memorial Stadium to take in what we were about experience for the next three days. To our surprise, we were allowed in the stadium to look around, and cheekily asked the television crew who was setting up their equipment to take a picture of us on the 50-yard line. I'm on the left with my friends, Helen Riley and Andy HIbbert.
All I can say is they loved the experience so much that we will be doing it all over again next year at the Lucas Oil stadium in Indianapolis.
