Gibson named Colts' 2003 drum major

Matt Gibson of Newton, Iowa, will be the Colts' drum major for 2003. ^Gibson was a member of the baritone line in 2002. In 2000, he was the drum major for Newton High School Marching Band, which is under the direction of Colts brass caption head Brett Hall and former Colts drum major Chris Baughman. Gibson is currently a sophomore at Iowa State University, in Ames, Iowa, where he has spent two years in the Iowa State University Marching Band. He is majoring in computer science, and plans to transfer to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, in the fall.
