From a Glassmen press release: The Glassmen drum and bugle corps is pleased to announce a new partnership with Dynasty USA/DEG Music Products, Inc. to produce and present "Entertrainment" -- an educational collaboration focused on "training the leaders of tomorrow through the music and movement of today." Over the course of their 43-year history, the Glassmen have been widely recognized for their commitment to youth and education. They founded the "Entertrainment" program in 2002 as a series of clinics throughout the summer tour, incorporating the varied responsibilities of the drum corps activity -- entertainment as well as education. This philosophy has guided the corps through the last decade to include workshops for numerous show sponsors across the country, Fred J. Miller Clinics, the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, and the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, as well as performances with the Toledo Symphony and many other local orchestras.

This next phase of the "Entertrainment" program will not only encompass the summer clinics and performances, but more importantly create an expansion of new educational programs for thousands of students throughout the school year. Scholastic workshops, full band and orchestra clinics, leadership seminars, interactive presentations, small ensemble master classes and collaborations with other local arts and scholastic programs have all been discussed. The various outreach programs will focus on training young men and women through hands-on interaction and participation with licensed "Entertrainment" clinicians and performers. "The Glassmen organization provides their members and the pageantry community with the highest level of educational experience," noted Mark W. Schafer, President of DEG Music Products, Inc. "We look forward to working closely with the Glassmen to enhance our educational programs." Allan Murray, Vice President of Dynasty USA/DEG, says the company is thrilled about its new partnership with the Glassmen. "The relationship brings education to the table, which has long been a goal of Dynasty USA," he elaborated. "It has always been our intention to combine a world class education program with our products, and with the Glassmen we are excited about that opportunity." DEG Music Products, Inc. is a distributor and manufacturer of band, orchestral, percussion instruments, and accessories to music stores around the world, marketed under the brand names Dynasty, Weril and Willson. As a result of the partnership, the Glassmen will exclusively endorse Dynasty percussion and brass products. "We are very proud and excited to have the Glassmen completely equipped with our Dynasty USA brass and percussion equipment," added Schafer. "Education and student growth has always been an integral component of our mission and our organization," says Brian Hickman, executive director of the GLASSMEN. "I look forward to the possibilities that this partnership holds for the future, and the opportunities that it will create for all the young men and women with whom we come in contact. "Entertrainment" will hold true to the Glassmen motto -- an experience of a lifetime -- but expand to include everyone involved in the experience."
