While the Division I corps wrapped up the last major event of the season before the World Championships this weekend in Allentown, Pa., the Division II & III corps were also at work in Michigan City, Ind., on Saturday and Sunday at the Great Lakes Open. The Academy came away with the gold medal on Friday night (91.325), followed by Spartans (91.100) and Jersey Surf (84.950). Memphis Sound (83.600) and Teal Sound (79.975) rounded out the Division II competition.

In Division III, Dutch Boy (75.275) lead, Spokane Thunder (75.525) took second and Fever (75.525) third. Citations (72.475), Capital Sound (68.650), Vision Elite (62.625), 7th Regiment (52.575) and St. John's (44.950) also performed on Saturday. Sunday night in Division II, East Coast Jazz (91.700) took top honors with Oregon Crusaders (91.275), Vanguard Cadets (88.725), Blue Devils B (87.525), Jubal (78.775) and Colt Cadets (61.500) rounding out the field.

Revolution (82.350) nabbed the Sunday night Division III gold medal from Impulse (82.300) by only five hundredths of a point. Yamato (80.500) fell into the third position followed by last year's Division III Champion Raiders (80.350). H.Y.P.E. (67.750), Spirit of Newark/New Jersey (56.300), Targets (55.100), Racine Scouts (54.225) and Blue Saints (47.725) made up the remaining competing corps. Scores from the Saturday and Sunday events of the Great Lakes Open will be a factor in determining the seeding for the Division II & III Prelims at the DCI World Championships in Madison, Wis., on Tuesday.
