Greetings and Happy Holidays!

With most corps' first camps already behind us in preparation for the 2004 season, we already see signs of what will be a remarkable year. Record attendance for corps at early camps has been realized through all three divisions. Also, there are many reports of significant chunks of the corps' programs having been played already at the first camps. All this can only lead to amazing drum corps performances from mid-June to mid-August in all divisions.

The drum corps activity is truly blessed to have so many talented young people interested in bringing the joy of performance to the field this summer. I encourage those of you that had the opportunity to be a part of the drum corps experience to come forward and support your favorite drum corps or the drum corps nearest you. Corps in all divisions are challenged for financial and volunteer support. Please contact a corps and give them what you can.

While ours is not a cause that directly helps those in need, the drum corps experience is capable of helping good young people become great young people. When great young people become active in their community they are more likely to have a significant impact on helping those in need in our society. Anything you can do will assist the activity -- volunteering a few hours a month, supporting a drum corps member by sponsoring him or her financially, buying corps merchandise, or simply promoting the positive aspects of the drum corps experience to someone who might be in a better position than you to help. These are all tremendous options for you to do your part to preserve the drum corps experience.

Buying tickets and merchandise is a great way to support the corps. We are truly grateful for those that have done so, but the corps need even more assistance to maintain the level of excellence we have come to enjoy. Please do what you can and THANK YOU!

May the joy of the holiday season be upon you and your families and may we always remember the troops stationed around the world standing ready to preserve our freedom.
