Murray Gusseck will serve as percussion consultant for the Capital Regiment.
Gusseck is the past percussion caption head and arranger for the six-time world champion Santa Clara Vanguard. In addition to marching with the Vanguard, he was on staff as a percussion instructor in 1994, and from 1996 through 1999, and again from 2002 to the present. During the early 1990s Gusseck attended San Jose State University, where he studied world music systems and drum set. He taught and arranged percussion music for various high schools throughout the country, including Amador Valley (Calif.), Richland Hills (Texas), Lassiter (Ga.), Fred C. Beyer High School (Calif.), and James Logan High School (Calif.). Gusseck is also a co-owner of Tapspace Publications.
