In the Picture is me (left) and my very good friend and colleague, Mike. We're from Bournemouth, which is on the South Coast of England, some 90 miles southwest of London. We achieved a lifetime ambition of going to the DCI World Championships in August, 2011. As we both marched in drum corps in the UK, we always wanted to do it.
I marched snare and soprano and Mike is a snare player and went on to become corps director of Somerford Sound. We both now march in an Adult Comedy Marching Band, and I am the Musical Director for Ferndown Concert Brass Band, which Mike plays in as well.
Here is a Photo of us at the Celebrate Indy Arts! Parade with the director of music for the Commandant's Own U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. This was especially great for me, as I served as a bugler in Her Majesty's Royal Marines.
