After a one-year hiatus, “Big, Loud & Live” will return to select movie theaters nationwide on Thursday, August 7, bringing the sights and sounds of the 2025 Drum Corps International World Championship Prelims back to the big screen.
Presented in partnership with Fathom Entertainment, the live broadcast will feature the top-15 drum corps performing at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The approximately five-hour event will include live commentary, interviews, and real-time scoring, offering theater-goers an immersive look into one of the most anticipated nights of the annual Drum Corps International Tour.
“The goal of ‘Big, Loud & Live’ has always been as a celebratory social event,” said longtime DCI broadcast host Steve Rondinaro. “It’s a chance to get off the couch, gather with friends, and experience the energy of Marching Music’s Major League together as a community. And of course, bring someone new to the activity and cheer loud and proud!”
Following a short hiatus in 2024 and after significant feedback from fans and corps directors during the offseason, a decision was reached to revive the program for 2025.
“The corps were in strong favor of bringing this program back and confident that our fans will turn out in big numbers,” said DCI CEO Nate Boudreaux. “We’re hopeful that this renewed support helps ensure ‘Big, Loud & Live’ continues as a part of future seasons.”
Fathom Entertainment will carry “Big, Loud & Live” in select movie theaters across the United States. A list of participating locations is expected to be released after the Independence Day holiday with tickets going on sale Friday, July 11.
