No, this isn't Photoshopped, this is a real 375-pound pumpkin with six of our favorite drum corps logos etched and carved into it. This thing was so massive it took eight friends and myself five hours to carve this goliath using a hand saw, hunting knife, steak knife, and numerous pocket knives. It was so thick the only way we could get light to shine through was using the heat lamp from my well house because none of our flashlights were bright enough. I can't even begin to explain how awesome it was to have to literally crawl halfway inside a pumpkin to carve it.

All but two involved are current members or alumni of the Hillcrest High School Blue Wave Band in Springfield, Mo., and of course we are all DCI fanatics and several have plans to audition for corps this winter. I know I speak for all of us when I say to all you other drum corps nuts out there, Happy Halloween!
