Friday, July 23, 2:30 p.m. CT The Berry Center Cypress, TX By attending the DCI Houston Premier Event at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas, you have another chance to learn from and interact with a top drum corps. The Cavaliers will be presenting their version of an educational Live Learning Event starting at 2:30 p.m. CT. Staff and corps members will take attendees through a step-by-step demonstration of a typical rehearsal day. Participants can hone their skills with expert instruction on marching fundamentals, percussion, color guard and brass, and they'll even get question-and-answer sessions to gain further insight into the Cavaliers' rehearsal techniques.
Sunday, July 25, 3 p.m. CT Judson High School Main Theater Converse, TX During day two of the DCI Southwestern Premier Event on Sunday, July 25, you have yet another opportunity to learn from the best: a Live Learning Event led by "Blast!" original cast member and four-time champion snare drummer Jeff Queen. Beginning at 3 p.m. CT in the Judson High School main theater, Queen will present a 90-minute session showcasing his technique, practice methods, and demonstrations of drum corps repertoire.
