Living apart, meeting back up

Living apart, meeting back up

by Drum Corps International

Andrea Kile, a trumpet player with the Santa Clara Vanguard for 2002, 2003, and 2004 (and a senior double major in sociology and English at Texas Tech University), sent in this one. "These two pictures are of my friend Travis Peterson and I. Travis marched trumpet for the Madison Scouts. He is also a senior but goes to Indiana University and is a trumpet major. "We both aged out in 2004, but we didn't actually meet until Tour of Champions. The first picture is us in uniform at the last night of TOC. "The second is from finals night at Gillette Stadium this year. This summer Travis was on visual staff for the Madison Scouts and I worked for DCI Films. "Unfortunately, we did not keep in touch after TOC, but we met back up this summer during finals week and have become great friends again. I am very thankful to get the chance to have done TOC last summer because I was able to meet so many people from other corps that I would not have had the chance to meet on such a personal basis. It is still sad we all end up living so far apart, but like this summer, we always seem to meet back up at DCI." Thanks Andrea! E-mail your best shots from the summer to dave@dci.org along with where and when the photo was taken. Send some biographical information about yourself as well. We'll give you full credit. Also, let us know if you want your e-mail address included.
