Matt Rummel of The Magic was named the 2005 Jim Jones Leadership Award, a scholarship given annually to an outstanding drum major. Rummel, 19, is a social science major at Edison College. He aspires to be a high school music teacher. Currently he is a part-time visual and guard instructor at Ft. Myers High School in Florida. The Jim Jones Leadership Award has been given since 1997. It is sponsored by the dci hall of fame. Funds for the scholarship and evaluations are provided by DCI Hall of Fame members.
