The 14th annual Pacific Rim Street Fest was held on Sunday, May 21 in Old Sacramento, Calif. The event broadens the awareness and understanding of the Asian Pacific heritage, showcases the contributions to the community at large and supports cultural endeavors with grants and scholarships.

Under misty skies, an estimated 40,000 people enjoyed Asian foods, shopping, and cultural entertainment. The rain stopped long enough for the Mandarins to publicly debut their 2006 show, "Rhythm Nation."

For many corps members, this was their first-ever performance. Conducted by new drum majors Louis Moreno and Rachel Gonzalez, the corps' performance was well received and promises to be another exciting Mandarins summer show.
