From a Memphis Sound press release: Christian Brothers University, in the heart of Memphis, will serve as a summer rehearsal home for Memphis Sound. Christian Brothers University (CBU) is listed in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Colleges" (2005 edition), ranked among the top 40 Southern Universities granting master's degrees. CBU is also listed among the most diverse campuses in the South, ranked fifth among the top 13 colleges and universities known for campus diversity.

Memphis Sound is very excited about the partnership with CBU. This year, the corps will have access to dorm housing for some of its older members, as well as a beautiful, historic campus on which to rehearse. The corps will use of Signiago Field, home of the Christian Brothers soccer team.

Memphis Sound corps director Trey Moore says, "This will be a great relationship that we can cultivate over the next few years. We plan to make this a win-win for everyone. The advantages for us are obvious -- housing for some corps members and staff, and a great space for rehearsal. At the same time, we'll be able to introduce many of our members, who are prospective college students, to a great liberal arts university. I would hope that in the future, we could expand the relationship by providing college credit through CBU for a summer performance ensemble."

Next summer, Memphis Sound plans to house all corps members at CBU who wish to stay on campus. For more information on Christian Brothers University, visit Information on Memphis Sound can be found at
