Drum Corps International is set to bring an exciting weekend of SoundSport performances and drum corps competition to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, longtime home of the Little League World Series, over two days early this August.
Friday, August 1: SoundSport Festival Williamsport
The SoundSport Festival Williamsport — a free event — will feature an array of exciting performances for a public audience including a mini-corps competition.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place Friday, August 1, at 6 p.m. ET on the streets of downtown Williamsport (corner of W. 4th St. and Hepburn St. in front of the City Hall building).
“The event will be part of the Lycoming Arts First Friday Festival which will host over 200 vendors and draws crowds in the thousands,” DCI All-Age Class coordinator John Carr said. “This SoundSport setting will bring our performing groups into the streets for an intimate and high-energy celebration. Surrounded by art, food, music, and the buzz of festival goers, it’s going to be an electrifying atmosphere.
A hallmark of the SoundSport festival event will be a special mini-corps competition which provides the opportunity for smaller ensembles to showcase their talents for an intimate audience. Mini-corps feature no more than 25 members with traditional drum corps instruments, often performing on a small stage.
Including the mini-corps ensembles, the 2025 SoundSport Festival Williamsport, is tentatively set to feature the following performing groups:

Saturday, August 2: DCI Williamsport
Following Friday night’s SoundSport Festival, Drum Corps International will host the brand-new DCI Williamsport event at STA Stadium (Williamsport Area High School, 2990 W. 4th St.).
The show will feature a huge lineup of World, Alumni and All-Age Class corps including:
