From a Blue Stars press release: Brent Montgomery will serve as the Blue Stars percussion caption head for the 2006 season. He'll be joined by front line instructor Joni DeClercq and consultant Jack Mansager, among others. Montgomery's drum corps career spans three decades, and includes a percussion title with a Star of Indiana line that many consider among the best in the history of the activity. "Brent's expertise and experience are going to be tremendous assets to our percussion section," said executive director Greg Struve. "Brent is someone who understands what it takes to be successful at this level. I'm very excited to see the combination of his percussive style with the VanDoren brass program."
