Music For All to host “BOA Blast” at 2023 DCI Denton event

Drum Corps International strategic partner Music For All, an Indianapolis-based non-profit organization which hosts an array of educational programs throughout the calendar year and manages the Bands of America fall marching band circuit, will host “BOA Blast,” a single-day educational clinic, July 20 in Denton, Texas.

The Thursday, July 20 date and location of the north Texas-based BOA Blast event coincides with the DCI Tour event at the University of North Texas’ Apogee Stadium which will feature eight DCI corps including the Guardians, Pacific Crest, Crossmen, Madison Scouts, Phantom Regiment, Carolina Crown, Bluecoats and Boston Crusaders.

DCI Denton presented by Stanbury Uniforms will serve as the night-cap for a full 12-hour day of programming, and camp participants will receive admission to the drum corps event as part of their tuition. 

Those in attendance at BOA Blast will have the opportunity to work with a variety of established musicians and musical ensembles, including the University of North Texas Wind Ensemble and Carolina Crown. Students will not only rehearse with Carolina Crown, they’ll also perform in standstill with the Fort Mill, South Carolina corps as part of the experience. 

Educational curriculum will cover the gamut of marching music performance, from technique basics, to musicianship, physical fitness and more.

The deadline to register for BOA Blast in Denton, Texas is July 13.

Registration costs $129 for individual students, and $99 for students in a school group of 10 or more.
