Mystikal is pleased to announce that Kurt Hensch will serve as the corps' 2007 percussion caption head. Last season he joined the Mystikal instructional staff as the tenor drum specialist. In the past, Hensch has worked with the Black Knights, Esperanza and San Diego State University, in addition to several high school groups.
In anticipation of increasing the size of the corps' brass section, Mystikal has reorganized its brass staff and added a staff member. The team will be led by Rudy Arevalos, a former member of the Velvet Knights and Blue Devils, who will serve as brass caption head. He will be assisted by Brad Davis, director of bands for El Rancho HS in Pico Rivera, Calif., and Brennan England, an instructional staff member for several southern California high schools.
