Drum Corps International strategic partner NAfME (National Association for Music Education) is currently accepting nominations for membership in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band until the end of January.

The All-American Marching Band is one of the premier high school marching groups, made up of elite high school seniors from across the country. Members are selected to come together at the beginning of January to perform as the halftime entertainment at the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

More than 1,200 were nominated for membership in the band in 2013, and the 125 high school seniors selected for the group will be headed to Texas just before the New Year, working toward a performance at the Alamodome on Saturday, Jan. 5.

Drum Corps International has been a proud sponsor of the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band since its debut in 2008. In its six years of existence, some of drum corps' finest staff and corps members have been a part of the group.

High school seniors during the 2013-2014 school year are eligible to apply for the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Marching Band. A deadline for nominations that must be completed by the student's band director is approaching on January 31, 2013.

Band members chosen to take part in the All-American experience receive an all-expenses-paid trip to San Antonio. In only a matter of days, the marching ensemble learns and perfects a six-minute production for the All-American Bowl halftime show.
