Never a right time to say goodbye

by Drum Corps International

Becky Stevenson, a 20-year-old mellophone player with the 2006 Blue Stars, sent this picture.

This is a picture of me and one of my best friends from the Blue Stars. We said a really emotional goodbye after the DCI World Championship Semifinals, and his mom caught us in mid-hug. I can't march this year (my age-out year) because of financial issues, so this picture means all the more to me. John Wadas taught me what really meant to be a Blue Star last summer, and I'm so glad we got to spend it together.

Thanks, Becky!
